ECS H70

ECS’s H70 tablet PC weighs just 830g and features a 7in WVGA (800×480) wide-aspect touchscreen that’s best-used with the supplied stylus pen. A built-in 4-in-1 card reader, integrated 1.3MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, high-definition audio, along with a couple of USB2.0 ports, makes it a feature-rich. A bundled docking station includes the usual ports that are omitted on the H70 for space-saving reasons.

It will be possible to specify the H70 with an Intel Pentium M ULV (Ultra-Low Voltage) 1GHz CPU and up to 1GB DDR2 RAM. A 60GB 1.8-inch hard drive (maximum size) provides plenty of storage, too.

The H70 is an interesting bridge between a PDA and medium-sized notebook. It should be available from Q2 2006 and, although pricing is yet to be determined, yours truly is one potential customer.
